It's the fourth day in Maarslet today and gosh, I miss home already. Woke up at 5am because I could no longer sleep, and my NIE friends back in Singapore decided to drop me a Skype call. Oh look at them in the following picture! It's my brothers, Alvin and Zoe! Glad that they are all having fun in Singapore and coming up with their own Christmas Party :)
Here's the breakfast that Ms Sussi packed for me today! How thought is she ;) It's ham sandwich, celery, a carrot and an apple!
It was a special treat for all Grade 6 and 7s students this morning as we have a performance at the assembly ground! Here's a short snippet of their performance! Really nice to see their main teacher and students performing together!
Thursday is the longest day for me, as I am packed with lessons throughout the day. With 2 history lessons by Ms Lotte, taking one and half hour each. The first class was a Grade 7 Class that discussed the peace treaty between more than 30 countries in Europe. Here's the second class, and they were covering the Copenhagen war between the English and the Danish! I didn't understand the language, because the lesson was instructed in Danish, but there were still many noteworthy points!
Here's my lunch for today! It is Denmark sweet sour soup with chicken, and some spaghetti and mushrooms on the right!
Thereafter, I proceed to Geography and English lessons by Ms Mette. Ms Mette just returned the test papers that students have completed last week, and students were comparing their results! Beside me (the girl), is the smartest students of the class and she scored full marks!
The day finally ended off with Ms Lotte giving an English lesson to class 7C. On the left is Ms Lotte writing down the class objectives, and on the right is one student giving a presentation about his experiences in skiing!
When I went back home, Josephina shared some of the desserts she bought. It is some chocolate biscuit, with a granular mixture of different chocolate cakes inside the biscuit! Really delicious!
'
She also bought some caramel biscuits that contained cashew nuts! Nice stuff!
During dinner, we had porridge, and it is a tradition to add butter and cinnamon powder to the food! There were some salad beside to add as garnish! It was also nice to have some sweet drinks served for the first time! According to Ms Sussi, it is simply cold water, added with some red food colouring and some sugar!
That's all for today my friends!
