It is 2/12 for Maarslet today, and here we go!
There is no class for me in the morning! Had the privilege to go to the Canteen on time, and here's what they served! Danish Laksa, salad and some spaghetti!
Thereafter, I had Geography lessons with Mr Thor, and there was no lesson as students are discussing about their project presentation during the Week 3 of my practicum stint here in Maarslet School. It was about Volcanic Eruption, Earthquake and Tsunami. I went around various groups to help them to structure their ideas and give them my input.
During the afternoon I had English lesson with Ms Lotte, and it was on the book 'The Promise'. I photocopied the whole book, and I was hoping to teach with the book to support Ms Lotte class on Week 4 and 5 of my practicum. Had some ideas in mind and hoping it will work out! Here's the class!
Here's what I had for dinner! Salad and Meatballs (leftovers from yesterday!) Taste still as good!
I brought 5 types of common childhood snacks you will find in Singapore, and I am planning to share with Ms Sussi and her family one type of food each week. Since this is Week 1, Wednesday and the children are back in their mother's house, I decided to open the first packet of childhood - Iced Gems! I could tell that they really loved it so much! I told them that these biscuits are usually available in what we call 'mama shop' - or a local convenience stall. Ms Sussi is planning to pack these biscuits for her children's lunch every day!
That's all for today friends, see you!
